Apparatus of the City of Milton Fire Department


Engine 23Engine 23: First-due Pumper - E-1 model C023 triple combination pumper on an E-1 model 224 Cyclone II custom chassis, with 1,250 gpm pump, 1,000 gallon tank, 6-man enclosed cab, top mount pump panel, 500 gpm deck gun, generator, 1,200’ five-inch large diameter supply hose. Purchased in 1998 with all hose and equipment, for $237,465.

Pumper 23: Second-due Pumper - 1986 Pierce Suburban Pumper, on Ford C-8000 chassis with 210 HP Caterpillar diesel engine, with 1,000 gpm two-stage pump, 750 gallon tank, booster reel, 5 man seating capacity, top mounted pump panel, and on-board generator. Purchased in 1986 from Harless Corporation for $109,193.

Reserve 23: Reserve Pumper - Jaco Triple Combination Pumper on Ford chassis with 1,000 gpm pump and 800 gallon tank, booster reel, and 3 man seating capacity. Purchased in 1974 from Jack Cocke and Company, Inc. of Mobile, Alabama for $39,087.

Rescue 23Rescue 23: E-1 Super Lynx Attack Pumper on a 4-WD Ford F-550 chassis with 750 gpm pump, 300 gallon tank, 40 gallon foam system, and electric wench. This vehicle carries first aid equipment, AED, hand tools, air bags,and a full set of Hurst hydraulic extrication equipment. Purchased in 2001 from Sunbelt Fire Apparatus in Fairhope, Alabama for $124,903.

Marine 23Marine 23: Thanks to a generous donation, the City of Milton Fire Department has appropriate means to assist and perform water rescues.  Marine-23 is a 17-foot Boston Whaler Guardian with 90hp Johnson outboard motor and is equipped to also serve as a Coast Guard Auxiliary Facility on the Blackwater River.
